Due to its antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, Heartleaf has been traditionally used for medicinal purposes. The raw leaves and extracts of the plant are consumed to purify the blood and relieve inflammatory conditions in the body. The leaf extract also has astringent properties that can effectively (yet gently) deep cleanse pores while regulating excess sebum production.
