Larofen gel 40 g, Laropharm
Indications:
Larofen gel contains ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that reduces inflammation and pain.
Larofen gel is indicated for the local symptomatic treatment of muscular or osteoarticular pain, of rheumatic or traumatic origin (sprains, dislocations, lumbar pain, minor trauma to tendons, ligaments, etc.)
Composition:
- The active substance is ibuprofen. One gram of gel contains ibuprofen 50 mg.
- The other ingredients are: hypromellose, sodium hydroxide, isopropyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, purified water.
Method of administration.
For cutaneous use only.
Apply Larofen gel to the painful area, massage gently until completely absorbed.
Do not use Larofen gel for more than 2 weeks unless your doctor has told you to.
Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age
The recommended dose for one application is approximately 2-3 g of Larofen gel, repeating, if necessary, 3 to 4 times a day.
Children and adolescents under 15 years of age
Do not use Larofen gel in children and adolescents under 15 years of age.
If you use more Larofen gel than you should
If you have used more Larofen gel than you should, wash the area with plenty of water.
Contraindications:
Do not use Larofen gel:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- if you have ever suffered from bronchial asthma, skin rash or excessive nasal secretions after taking acetylsalicylic acid or any other NSAID;
- on skin lesions (moist dermatoses, eczema, infected lesions, burns or cuts), on mucous membranes or under occlusive dressings;
- in the last 4 months of pregnancy.
Do not use Larofen gel in children and adolescents under 15 years of age.
Precautions.
Before using Larofen gel, talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:
- you suffer from gastrointestinal disorders, such as gastric irritation and bleeding;
- you suffer from kidney disease;
- you have a predisposition to bronchial asthma;
- you are being treated with coumarin anticoagulants (due to the increased risk of bleeding).
Avoid contact with eyes, lips and genital area.
Avoid application to large surfaces.
Wash your hands after each use, except when treating a painful area located on the hands.
Stop using Larofen gel if you develop a skin rash or itching and contact your doctor.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Do not use Larofen gel if you are in the last 4 months of pregnancy.
Driving and using machines:
Larofen gel does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
