Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin and is primarily stored in animal-based foods in the form of retinyl palmitate. This form offers the human body the advantage of being quickly converted into its bioactive form during periods of increased need.

Known as the "eye vitamin," vitamin A plays a central role in maintaining normal vision. In addition to this important function, it contributes to the maintenance of healthy skin and mucous membranes and to the normal function of the immune system.

Unlike carotenoids – such as beta-carotene – which are found in plant-based foods and serve as precursors to vitamin A, the storage form of vitamin A is found exclusively in animal products. If vitamin A stores are already sufficient, ingested beta-carotene is not converted into vitamin A, but remains in the body as an antioxidant and is excreted via the kidneys.

Recommended intake

Take 3 drops once daily. Ideally, take with a meal. Once opened, we recommend refrigerating the product.
