ACTION AND DESCRIPTION

Ophthalmic ointment for improving the tear film and protecting the ocular surface. Can be applied up to 6 months after opening. Can be used by children and pregnant or breastfeeding women. Medical Device Class: IIa ON 0344

COMPOSITION

Sterile ophthalmic ointment with vitamin A containing 250 IU of retinol palmitate/g (vitamin A), paraffin, liquid paraffin, lanolin and white petrolatum.

STORAGE AND EXPIRATION

Store at room temperature (15 to 25ºC).

With proper care, VitA-POS® can be used up to 6 months after first opening.

Do not use after the expiration date.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It should not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be used while wearing contact lenses.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Use VitA-POS only if the tube seal is intact before first use. During application, avoid contact of the tube's cannula with the eye or skin.

Unscrew the protective cap. Tilt your head back, gently pull back your lower eyelid, and spread a small amount of ointment into the conjunctival sac. Close your eye slowly and then blink normally. Close the tube after use.

Apply preferably before bedtime. Can be used in addition to lubricating eye drops.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

If you apply VitA-POS during the day, your vision may be impaired for a few seconds due to the oily consistency of the ointment. In this case, do not drive, operate machinery, or work without a stable base. VitA-POS should not be applied simultaneously with other ophthalmic medications. If necessary, VitA-POS should be applied 30 minutes after applying the other ophthalmic medication.
