Xenofit's isotonic carbohydrate drink was specially developed for longer endurance sessions. During prolonged exertion lasting several hours, the body's own carbohydrate stores (glycogen stores) in the stressed muscles are insufficient to provide energy.

Xenofit competition provides a balanced blend of blood sugar-stabilizing carbohydrates to maintain endurance performance during exercise. It contains short-chain, rapidly available sugars such as fructose, glucose, and sucrose (mono- and disaccharides), as well as the longer-chain maltodextrin (oligosaccharide), which forms the main component.

Xenofit competition, with its optimized composition of carbohydrates (approx. 78 g/liter) combined with sodium (700 mg/liter), ensures rapid fluid absorption into the bloodstream. It also contains the spectrum of B vitamins necessary for carbohydrate and energy metabolism, as well as the minerals magnesium, potassium, and vitamin C.
