Description Diavit
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.be team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Diavit by Plantarom is a complex dietary supplement, formulated using a natural concentrate derived from the fruits of Vaccinium myrtillus L. (bilberry) and Hippophae rhamnoides L. (sea buckthorn), processed using proprietary technologies that fully preserve the active ingredients of high therapeutic value. The product is distinguished by its rich content of vitamins (C, provitamin A, PP, B1, B2, E), essential minerals (K, Ca, P, S, Mg, Mn, Fe) and bioactive compounds such as anthocyanosides, phytoncides, tannins, plant acids, pectins and polyphenols.
Thanks to the presence of certain specific glycosides – myrtillin, neomyrtillin and delphinol derivatives – Diavit exerts a natural hypoglycaemic effect and plays a protective role on the pancreas, helping to maintain metabolic balance and support the body in conditions of oxidative stress, glycaemic variability and microvascular impairment.
Forms of release
Diavit Plantarom is available in capsules, packaged in bottles of 60 units. This form of administration facilitates precise dosing and helps preserve the stability of plant compounds that are sensitive to light and oxidation.
The capsules are formulated with excipients such as meritose, starch, lactose, gelatin, magnesium stearate and talc, used to ensure consistency, protection of the active ingredients and optimal release in the gastrointestinal tract.
Indications for use
Diavit capsules are particularly suitable for:
- Maintaining normal blood glucose levels – thanks to natural glycosides with a hypoglycaemic effect (myrtillin, neomyrtillin), it helps to stabilise carbohydrate metabolism.
- Protection of the pancreas: the bioactive compounds support pancreatic endocrine function, reduce oxidative stress and may help slow down the degeneration of β-cells.
- Normalising bowel function – pectins and tannins support intestinal motility, rebalance osmotic pressure in the mucosa and exert a protective effect on the digestive epithelium.
- Support for vascular health – flavonoids and anthocyanosides restore capillary permeability, improve venous tone and may reduce microvascular fragility.
- Cardiovascular protection: polyphenols and antioxidant vitamins promote cardiometabolic homeostasis.
Dosage regimen
In adults, 3 capsules are usually taken daily, typically one capsule before each main meal, to ensure optimal absorption of the active ingredients.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Long-term use is possible, but periodic assessment of metabolic status is recommended.
Contraindications
Diavit Plantarom is contraindicated or requires caution in the following situations:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients (blueberry, sea buckthorn, lactose, excipients).
- Lactose intolerance or milk protein allergy, given the presence of lactose in the formula.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: administration should only take place under medical supervision.
Special instructions for use
Diavit should be taken before meals to maximise absorption of the active ingredients and enhance the effect on postprandial blood glucose levels.
In patients with unstable blood glucose levels, regular monitoring of blood glucose is recommended to adjust the dosage.
As the product contains no artificial colours or flavours, it is well tolerated even by people with digestive sensitivity.
Side effects
Diavit is generally well tolerated, but the following may occur:
- mild gastrointestinal disturbances (bloating, abdominal discomfort), especially at the start of treatment;
- diarrhoea or changes in bowel habits, due to the pectin content;
- rare allergic reactions to plant compounds or excipients;
- hypoglycaemia, if taken with oral antidiabetic medicines or insulin.
Interactions with other medicines and food
Diavit may affect the action of hypoglycaemic medicines, which may require a dose adjustment under medical supervision. No significant interactions with food have been reported.
If you are taking medicines for serious chronic conditions, it is advisable to consult your doctor before taking Diavit.
Overdose
Overdose is unlikely, but may cause:
- severe hypoglycaemia,
- gastrointestinal disturbances (diarrhoea, abdominal cramps),
- allergic reactions.
In the event of accidental ingestion of high doses, monitoring of blood glucose levels and symptomatic treatment are recommended.
Storage conditions
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed to protect the plant compounds sensitive to oxidation. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
