Rheumatabs

Rheumatabs Hyllan is available in chewable tablets, packaged in boxes of 30. This dosage form facilitates administration, as it is suitable for people who have difficulty swallowing standard tablets. 

Chewable tablets also promote greater treatment compliance, particularly when taken daily over prolonged periods.

Rheumatabs Hyllan is indicated as an adjunct in the management of rheumatic and musculoskeletal pain, in particular:

• joint pain associated with degenerative or inflammatory processes;
• discomfort in tendons and ligaments;
• joint stiffness and restricted mobility;
• mechanical overload of the musculoskeletal system.

Devil’s claw extract helps to reduce local inflammation and relieve pain, promoting the recovery of mobility and the natural elasticity of the joints.

The recommended dose is 2–3 tablets per day, depending on the severity of the pain and individual response. The tablets should be chewed before swallowing. 

Thanks to its natural composition, Rheumatabs can be used safely for up to 90 consecutive days, without the need for frequent breaks, provided the recommended doses are followed.

The use of Rheumatabs is contraindicated in cases of:

• known hypersensitivity to Harpagophytum procumbens or any of the excipients
• severe active gastrointestinal disorders (acute gastric or duodenal ulcer), where stimulation of gastric secretion may aggravate symptoms
• severe cardiovascular disorders
• pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the absence of sufficient clinical data to confirm its safety

An important feature of Rheumatabs is that it contains no sugar, whilst the fructose present in the formulation allows it to be administered even to people with high blood sugar levels, as part of a controlled diet. 

The product is not habit-forming and does not impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. For optimal results, it is recommended to combine taking the product with a moderately active lifestyle and non-pharmacological measures to protect the joints.

Rheumatabs is generally well tolerated. The following may rarely occur:

• mild gastrointestinal disturbances (bloating, nausea);
• minor allergic reactions, such as skin rashes or itching, in sensitive individuals.

These effects are usually temporary and disappear when treatment is stopped.

Although Rheumatabs has no known significant drug interactions, caution is advised when administered concomitantly with anticoagulant medicines.

There are no known significant interactions with food; the product may be taken with or without meals.

No cases of severe overdose with Rheumatabs have been reported. Administration of doses higher than those recommended may cause an increase in mild gastrointestinal effects. In the event of accidental ingestion of a large quantity, it is recommended to discontinue administration and consult a specialist.

The product must be stored at temperatures below 25 °C, in the original packaging, protected from moisture and direct light. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
