ANISE, essential oil (illicium verum), 10 ml, Sabio

The health benefits of anise essential oil are attributed to its anti-rheumatic, anti-septic, anti-spasmodic, decongestant, expectorant, insecticidal, sedative and stimulant properties.

This oil is remarkable as an expectorant, releasing the mucus deposited in the lungs and airways. It relieves cough, heaviness in the chest, breathing disorders, asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory disorders.
Anise essential oil is toxic to insects and small animals, so its smell keeps insects away. For this reason, it can be used to remove insects using vaporizers and sprays.
It can be used diluted in a carrier oil, for a massage with the effect of relieving respiratory ailments.

Important data for the safe use of the product:
- essential oil is a product that is not used as such on the skin, but only diluted in a vegetable oil or butter or as an ingredient in various cosmetic or aromatherapeutic preparations.
- carry out a test prior to using the product, in the crease of the elbow, at least 24 hours before application;
- to avoid use by hypertensive people, by pregnant or breastfeeding women;
- the usual dosage in cosmetic preparations is 0.5-2%.
- keep tightly closed and keep out of reach of children.
- do not swallow. If swallowed by mistake, rinse the mouth thoroughly with milk and then drink a large glass of milk and seek immediate medical attention.
- do not get into the eyes or mucous membranes. If it gets into the eyes or a mucous membrane, rinse the area well with a sufficient amount of milk and seek the help of a specialized medical professional.
- if irritation/itching/discomfort occurs after applying a product containing essential oil to the skin, immediately apply a vegetable oil to the area in question to dilute the concentration of essential oil.

Storage:
since the essential oil does not contain fatty acids, it is not susceptible to oxidation (rancidity) like vegetable oils and butters, but additional measures must be taken to protect it from the degenerative effects of light, heat and air. Thus, it should be kept in a dark glass container, away from any heat source. If it will be stored in proper conditions, the essential oil will maintain its qualities for a long time.
