Apap 500 mg 24 tablets - how does paracetamol work?
Each Apap tablet contains paracetamol 500 mg. It is a phenacetin derivative with analgesic and antipyretic properties. It prevents the formation of prostaglandins in the central nervous system as a result of inhibiting arachidonic acid cyclooxygenase.
The analgesic effect of paracetamol is similar to that of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). However, paracetamol does not have anti-inflammatory effects and does not cause typical NSAID side effects.
The Apap package contains 24 tablets in blisters in a cardboard box.
