ASAprin Cardio, 75 mg, 30 gastro-resistant tablets, Helcor

Indications :

The active substance of ASAprin Cardio 75 mg is acetylsalicylic acid. This medicine prevents platelet aggregation, achieving significant benefits in coronary heart disease.

ASAprin Cardio 75 mg is used for:
- Prevention of recurrence of myocardial infarction
- Treatment of unstable angina pectoris
- For maintaining revascularization after angioplasty and coronary bypass surgery
- Prophylaxis of transient ischemic attacks and cerebral infarction

Tablets containing low doses of acetylsalicylic acid are not suitable for use as analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory agents (these actions occur at higher doses).

Contraindications:

Do not use ASAprin Cardio 75 mg:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to acetylsalicylic acid, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Acetylsalicylic acid has been proven to be teratogenic in experimental studies in laboratory animals.

In the first two trimesters of pregnancy, acetylsalicylic acid can be administered, but only on medical advice; it is recommended to avoid chronic treatment with doses > 150 mg per day. In the last trimester of pregnancy, acetylsalicylic acid is contraindicated (except for occasional use for certain very limited cardiological and obstetric indications).

Since acetylsalicylic acid passes into milk, use during breastfeeding should be avoided, or breastfeeding should be discontinued, depending on the risk/benefit ratio.

Driving and using machines:
ASAprin Cardio 75 mg does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor has told you.

The recommended dose for the prophylaxis and treatment of coronary heart disease is one tablet (75 mg acetylsalicylic acid) 1-4 times a day. In acute myocardial infarction, administration should be done immediately after the onset of symptoms.
For the prevention of transient ischemic attacks and cerebral infarction, one tablet 1-2 times a day is recommended.
The tablets are swallowed whole, with a sufficient amount of water, preferably after meals.

Composition:

- The active substance is: acetylsalicylic acid. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 75 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.
- The other ingredients are: core - microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, corn starch, talc; film - partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 3350, talc, methacrylic acid, triethyl citrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium bicarbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate.
