Deep Relief, 50 g, Mentholatum
Read the leaflet carefully and completely before you start using this medicine, because it contains important information for you. Always use this medicine as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Indications:
Deep Relief contains ibuprofen and levomenthol.
Ibuprofen belongs to the group of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that provide effective pain and inflammation relief.
Levomenthol causes a sensation of pain relief.
Deep Relief is a non-greasy gel that should be applied to the skin for pain relief.
It is used to improve:
- pains of rheumatic origin;
- muscle pains;
- pain and inflammation in case of dislocations, sprains and sports injuries;
- pain associated with mild forms of arthrosis.
Composition:
- The active substances are: ibuprofen and levomenthol. One gram of gel contains ibuprofen 50 mg and levomenthol 30 mg.
Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless the doctor prescribes otherwise, the following recommendations apply:
Adults, adolescents and the elderly:
Deep Relief is applied in a thin layer on the skin of the affected area.
For each application of Deep Relief use 1-4 cm of gel for the 30, 50 or 100 g tubes and 4-10 cm of gel for the 15 g tube.
Massage gently until the gel is absorbed into the skin. You may feel a tingling sensation.
Repeat the administration, if necessary, without exceeding 3 times a day maximum.
Do not use the gel at intervals of less than 4 hours.
The gel should not be used for more than 1-2 weeks, except on the strict recommendation of the doctor.
Contraindications:
Do not use Deep Relief:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, levomenthol or any of the other components of this medicine;
- if you have had allergic reactions or asthma attacks in the past triggered by acetylsalicylic acid or other pain-relieving drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including those you use orally;
- in children under the age of 12;
- if you are pregnant in the last 4 months;
- if you have skin injuries, infections or inflammations;
- if you already apply other topical medicines to the same areas of the skin.
Precautions:
- if you have bronchial asthma associated with chronic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis and/or nasal polyposis;
- if you have or have had a kidney disease;
- if you have or have had gastric ulcer;
- if you have fertility problems or are undergoing treatment for infertility.
You must not apply the gel to the lips, eyelids, eyes, genital or anal area or other sensitive areas.
If this happens accidentally, rinse with plenty of water.
You should always apply the gel to small areas of the skin first.
Wash your hands immediately after use.
If severe skin irritation or other adverse reactions occur, you should discontinue use of Deep Relief.
If you accidentally swallow the gel, you should contact your doctor or go to the emergency department of the nearest hospital.
You should not cover the skin with bandages, plasters or other dressings. However, clothing does not influence the penetration of the drug into the skin.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
During the first 5 months of pregnancy, your doctor may prescribe this medicine if necessary.
You should not use Deep Relief from the 6th month of pregnancy.
The drug passes into breast milk. As a preventive measure, its use should be avoided during breastfeeding.
Driving vehicles and using machines:
Deep Relief does not influence the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
