DUOCAL

Powdered supplement consisting of a mixture of carbohydrates and fats with a high content of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). Dietary food for special medical purposes.
It can be used as a dietary supplement in the management of conditions requiring additional energy from a combined source of carbohydrates and fats, where there is fat malabsorption or where LCT absorption is incomplete. Duocal can be used to increase energy intake from a wide range of foods and drinks, as an energy supplement in tube or oral feeding or can be mixed with water to obtain an unflavoured, high energy density, low electrolyte liquid.

How to use
To prepare a Duocal solution, mix the powder with a small amount of prescribed water, then add the remaining water, stirring vigorously with a fork. The amount of Duocal should be determined exclusively by a doctor or dietitian and depends on the age, body weight and clinical condition of the patient. Duocal should be introduced gradually, over several days, depending on the patient's tolerance.

Conservation
Store in a dry place, away from heat. Once opened, consume within 1 month.
