Innofer Baby oral suspension is a dietary supplement indicated for the prevention of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia.

Innofer Baby contains elemental iron, which is an optimal source of iron:

• It has a GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) safety status, awarded by the US Department of Health, meaning that based on numerous studies, the substance has been generally considered safe
• According to studies also conducted on infants and children, it does not cause adverse reactions such as constipation, diarrhea, or abdominal pain;
• It does not oxidize in the oral cavity, so it does not stain teeth or have a metallic aftertaste
• It has a zero oxidation state and is oxidized in the stomach by hydrochloric acid into easily digestible divalent ions; the conversion to the ionic form is gradual and gentle, without causing excess ions that irritate the mucosa
• It has a very high bioavailability of 69%, which, combined with precise dosing, guarantees absorption and does not cause a dangerous excess of free ions; it is characterized by a very high iron content (over 98%).

The package includes a precisely graduated dosing syringe that facilitates oral administration of the appropriate dose of iron.

Indications: 

• For dietary management to prevent iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia
• For newborns, especially premature infants with low birth weight, infants, and children.

How to use:

• The dosage and duration of use depend on the degree of iron deficiency and should be administered according to a physician's recommendations and under their supervision
• Before using Innofer Baby, please read the package leaflet. Before use, to obtain a homogeneous suspension, mix the product thoroughly by shaking the bottle vigorously for at least 30 seconds until the color is dark
• It is recommended to shake the bottle vigorously before each dose, even if the administration takes place within 3 minutes of obtaining a homogeneous suspension.
• Administer the measured dose directly into the mouth immediately after preparation.
• For exclusively breastfed infants, it is recommended to administer Innofer Baby suspension approximately 15 minutes before or 2 hours after feeding the milk.

0.1 ml = 1 mg of iron, 1 ml = 10 mg of iron

Contraindications:

• Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients
• This product is not intended for parenteral use
• Innofer Baby may pose a health risk if consumed by individuals without medical indications.

• After first opening, use within 90 days
