From the small purple-blue flowers that delight us with their perfume, the essential oil, perhaps the most widespread and used in the whole world, is extracted. Its aromatic qualities were discovered a long time ago, and are still used today in the therapeutic, cosmetic and perfumery fields.

Genuine lavender essential oil is an exceptional product, superior in quality to oils extracted from other lavender varieties or hybrids and has a high content of active principles that we can capitalize on in various ways.

By steam distillation of the flowering tops.

Properties:

Way of ussage:

• it is a product that is not used as such on the skin, only as an ingredient in cosmetic preparations, perfumes and compositions for aromatherapy;
• as an ingredient in cosmetic products, lavender essential oil can generally be used in a percentage of 0.5-2%;
• can be included as an ingredient in a series of compositions: anhydrous creams, emulsified creams, body lotions and milks, body butters, balms, masks, rubs and hair creams, shampoos, soaps;
• it can be simply combined with a vegetable oil, using it as a massage;
• for muscle pain, cramps and tense areas, a local massage will be performed with a balm or vegetable oil that includes lavender oil;
• for disorders of the nervous system, a massage will be performed on the solar plexus or on the back and spine; the massage oil or cream can also be applied to the wrists;
• in bath water: 10-15 drops dissolved in advance or diluted in milk;
• a few drops over a portion of bath salt dispersed in the bathtub;
• in vaporizers and candles for aromatherapy and perfuming rooms;
• can be used to prepare sachets with dry herbs, natural potpourri, medicinal pillows.
