Cold-pressed linseed oil is one of the richest sources of essential fatty acids (EFA) of vegetable origin, from the Omega-3 and Omega-6 families. These acids must be consumed regularly to maintain health, but are not produced by the body. Humans cannot produce Omega-3 acids and must obtain them through food or convenient dietary supplements.
