Properties:

The active principles of hawthorn fruits are: triterpenic acids, anthocyanin derivatives, flavonic compounds. - At the level of the coronary arteries, it acts as a coronary dilator. - On the myocardium, flavonic compounds exert tonotropic action. - Hawthorn fruits cause an improvement in circulation at the level of the coronary arteries, which results in a decrease in the predisposition to angina attacks. - Through the direct action on the myocardium, as well as through the vasodilatory one, it causes a decrease in blood pressure.
