Description
Sofargen gel, 25 g, Sofar
The high water content (over 95%) keeps the wound hydrated, promoting the tissue healing process.
Properties:
- creates a mechanical barrier against external agents and protects damaged skin thanks to the silver-based compound;
- promotes debridement in case of tissue necrosis;
- the presence of silver sulfadiazine prevents microbial contamination of the dressing and keeps the wound environment free of exogenous bacteria;
- the special formulation creates an environment that promotes the natural healing process and provides an effective barrier to microbial penetration;
- the product easily stays in place and is not affected by pulling the edges of the wound;
- it can be easily removed by cleaning the wound with saline solution.
Ingredients:
Purified water, Glycerol, Carbopol 974P, Sodium Hydroxide, Micronized Silver Sulfadiazine.
Way of ussage:
After proper cleaning of the wound, apply a uniform layer of 2 or 3 mm thickness on the affected surfaces.
It can be applied either directly on the wound or spread on a sterile gauze and applied to the wound to obtain a moisturizing effect or on a polyurethane or semi-occlusive dressing as a cleanser.
Sofargen gel is also good for replacing hydrogel dressings.
It must be applied continuously without interruption once or twice a day as long as there is a possibility of infection and until complete healing.
Thoroughly clean the wounds with saline solution or water before applying the product again.
