Dolgit

Description Dolgit

The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.be team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual

Dolgit cream is a medicinal product used for the treatment of local pain and inflammation, with ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) recognized for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, as the active substance. It is intended for topical application and is indicated for the treatment of soft tissue conditions near the joints, such as tendinitis, contusions and sprains.

Can I use Dolgit during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

In the last 3 months of pregnancy, Dolgit is contraindicated, as the use of ibuprofen may harm the fetus, increasing the risk of birth complications. In the first 6 months of pregnancy, the use of this medicine is allowed only if absolutely necessary and under the supervision of a doctor, and the treatment should be as short as possible and with the minimum effective dose.

During breastfeeding, ibuprofen applied topically is not known to have any adverse effects on the infant, as systemic absorption is very low.

How long can I use Dolgit?

Dolgit is intended for short-term use for a maximum of 2-3 weeks. If symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Can I apply bandages while using Dolgit cream?

It is not recommended to apply occlusive bandages, which do not allow air to pass over the area treated with Dolgit cream, as they may increase the absorption of ibuprofen into the skin and therefore the risk of side effects.
