Gastrocalm

Gastrocalm is available in tablets, packaged in bottles of 60 tablets, which are easy to administer and suitable for daily use. 

The tablets can be swallowed whole with water or, in the event of difficulty swallowing, can be broken in half without compromising their effectiveness.

Gastrocalm Dacia Plant is indicated as an adjunct in the management of digestive disorders associated with gastric hyperacidity, including heartburn, epigastric pain, retrosternal burning sensation and postprandial gastric discomfort. 

The product is recommended for people with functional gastritis, sensitive digestion, a tendency towards gastric spasms or excessive acid secretion, as well as for those experiencing recurrent episodes of gastric irritation caused by stress, poor diet or the consumption of irritating foods. 

Thanks to its alkalising effect on gastric secretion and its protective action on the mucosa, Gastrocalm helps maintain digestive well-being and restore the functional balance of the stomach.

In adults and young people over the age of 15, the usual dose is 2 tablets a day, to be taken approximately 30 minutes before meals, to allow the protective effect on the gastric mucosa to take effect. In exceptional cases, the dose may be increased to 2 tablets 3 times a day, depending on the severity of symptoms and the specialist’s recommendations.

For children aged between 5 and 15 years, the recommended dose is 1 tablet per day; in exceptional cases, 1 tablet may be taken three times a day, taking the same precautions regarding administration before meals. 

A 1-month course of treatment is recommended, followed by a 1-week break.

Dacia Plant Gastrocalm is contraindicated in people with lactose intolerance or known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s ingredients. 

Furthermore, the product is not recommended in the event of allergic reactions to the plants present in the formulation or to the excipients used. 

The tablets should be taken with sufficient water, avoiding the simultaneous consumption of very hot or irritating drinks. 

The product is intended to support digestive function and does not replace prescribed medication in cases of severe or clinically diagnosed gastric disorders.

Gastrocalm is generally well tolerated when taken as recommended. In rare cases, mild digestive disturbances may occur, such as a feeling of fullness, bloating or temporary changes in bowel movements, particularly in individuals sensitive to calcium carbonate. 

Allergic reactions are rare, but may include itching or skin rashes, in which case administration must be discontinued.

Due to its calcium carbonate content, Gastrocalm may affect the absorption of certain medicines taken at the same time, particularly those requiring an acidic gastric environment for optimal absorption. It is recommended that the medicine be taken at least 2 hours apart from other medicines. 

No significant interactions with food are known, but it is recommended to avoid excessively acidic, spicy or irritating foods during treatment.

Overdose of Gastrocalm is unlikely if the recommended doses are followed. Taking large quantities may cause digestive disturbances, gastric acidity imbalances or excessive calcium intake. 

In the event of accidental administration of high doses, it is recommended to stop taking the product and consult a specialist.

Gastrocalm should be stored in its original packaging at room temperature, away from moisture and direct light, to maintain the stability of the active ingredients. The product must be kept out of the reach of children and the expiry date is as stated on the packaging; use after this date is not recommended.
