While the oscillometric method is based on the detection of pulse waves, the Korotkoff principle uses pulse sounds, also called Korotkoff sounds, to establish voltage values.
The Korotkoff principle is characterized by a particular accuracy of the results, determining correct values ​​even in the case of patients with different types of cardiac arrhythmia, being a professional method preferred by medical specialists.
