Gripoff, 8 sachets, Slavia Pharm

Gripoff is a cold and flu medicine that contains three active substances:

• Paracetamol which relieves pain and lowers your temperature when you have a fever
• Chlorpheniramine maleate reduces nasal congestion, the watery eyes often associated with them and acts on sneezing-type phenomena
• Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) will help replace the vitamin C that is lost in the early stages of colds and flu.
• Gripoff is a remedy used for the short-term symptomatic relief of influenza, fever, chills and common colds, including headache, sore throat, malaise and pain, nasal congestion, sinusitis and the pain and acute nasal catarrh associated with it.

The medicine is intended for use by adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.

In case of bacterial infections, antibiotic treatment may be necessary.

Composition:

• The active ingredients are paracetamol 500 mg, ascorbic acid 200 mg and chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg
• The other ingredients are sugar, anhydrous citric acid, sodium saccharin, lemon flavouring.

How to use:

• Adults (over 15 years): 1 Gripoff sachet 2-3 times a day
• The interval between administrations must be at least 4 hours
• If you suffer from severe kidney damage, the interval between administrations must be at least 8 hours
• Dissolve the contents of a Gripoff sachet in a cup of hot water (about 200 ml)
• You get a lemon-flavoured drink that should be drunk hot
• Do not dissolve or administer more than one sachet at a time
• For the treatment of flu conditions, it is preferable to take this medicine with hot water, in the evening, from the moment the first symptoms appear.

Precautions:

Do not use Gripoff in the following situations

• If you are allergic to paracetamol, phenacetin or other anti-inflammatories, pheniramine or other antihistamines or to any of the ingredients of the medicine
• If you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
• If you suffer from severe kidney damage (the risk of side effects on the kidneys may be increased by 2/4 in case of prolonged administration of high doses)
• If you suffer from urethral-prostatic disorders with risk of urinary retention
• If you suffer from closed-angle glaucoma, a family history of closed-angle glaucoma or open-angle glaucoma
• If you suffer from severe liver damage
• If you are being treated simultaneously with non-selective aminooxidase monoinhibitors (MAOIs)
• If you suffer from kidney stones (high doses - 1 g of ascorbic acid per day, for a long time)
• If you have an intolerance to some categories of sugars (contains sugar);
• If you are under 15 years of age

Special warnings:

Pregnancy

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant
• Due to the lack of animal and human studies, the risk is unknown
• Therefore, as a precautionary measure, this medicine should not be administered during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding

• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine during breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines

• Due to the adverse effects it has (for example: drowsiness, sedation, confusion, dizziness, visual accommodation disorders, etc.), the product may affect the ability to drive or use machines.
