Vaginal dryness – often caused by hormones

Hormonal changes play a key role in the development of vaginal dryness. In particular, the decline in estrogen levels during menopause can lead to vaginal dryness. It is therefore not surprising that approximately half of all women over the age of 45 are affected.

Vaginal dryness can also occur when hormones fluctuate wildly during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or when the birth control pill throws the hormonal balance off.

Psychological factors such as stress, certain underlying medical conditions, and excessive or improper intimate hygiene are also considered crucial causes, as they can disrupt the balance of the vaginal flora. This can lead to unpleasant symptoms such as vaginal dryness with burning, itching, and pain during intercourse. Therefore, targeted help is now needed, and more and more women are seeking hormone-free alternatives.

Lactofem® Moisturizing Cream provides fast, acute relief for vaginal dryness. Completely hormone-free!

Additionally, it is free of colorants and fragrances and contains no paraffin, petrolatum and silicones.

It impresses with the unique Lactofem® soft formula:

• High water content: Moisturizes the skin in the vagina and external intimate area; sodium lactate acts as a moisturizer.
• Nourishing lipids (fats): Keep the skin in the vagina and external intimate area supple.
• With lactic acid: Supports the maintenance of the natural pH balance of the vagina
• Hormone-free: Also suitable for use in combination with hormone replacement therapy or alternating with hormone-containing vaginal creams or suppositories.

Lactofem® Moisturizing Cream is therefore suitable for relieving and preventing discomfort caused by dryness in the vagina and external intimate area, such as

Application :

Ideally, the product should be applied once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime. If necessary, the simultaneous use of a panty liner may be advisable. Once symptoms have subsided, the frequency of application can be reduced as needed.

Important : Lactofem® Moisturizing Cream and condoms should not be used at the same time. Please also refer to the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Application without applicator:

For discomfort at the vaginal opening and in the external genital area, the cream is applied and spread with a clean finger as needed, even several times a day. A strip of cream approximately 0.5 cm long is sufficient.

Application with applicator:

The applicator allows Lactofem® Moisturizing Cream to be easily inserted into the vagina. To facilitate insertion, a small amount of cream can be applied to the vaginal opening. Please refer to the instructions for use in the package leaflet.

Important : During pregnancy, Lactofem® Moisturizing Cream should be used without the applicator.
