Zeolit Detox

Zeolite Detox is available in capsules, packaged in bottles of 60 or 120 capsules. 

Each capsule contains 550 mg of mineralised zeolite tuff, standardised to contain 88% clinoptilolite, with a gelatin coating. Although the product is presented in capsule form, the recommended method of use involves opening the capsule and using the contents as an aqueous suspension, as the product is registered as a tooth-cleaning powder.

Herbagetica Zeolit Detox is indicated as an adjunct in:

• supporting physiological detoxification processes;
• reducing the body’s exposure to heavy metals and endogenous or exogenous toxins;
• protecting cells from oxidative stress;
• supporting the balance of the immune system;
• eliminating urea and nitrogenous compounds;
• supporting liver function in cases of exposure to alcohol, pollutants or toxic agents;
• neutralising certain pesticides or xenoestrogens ingested accidentally.

These indications are based on the physicochemical properties of clinoptilolite, which acts by adsorption and chelation in the gastrointestinal tract and via oral administration, without crossing the intestinal barrier.

The recommended method of use is to open a capsule and pour the contents into a glass of water. The resulting suspension is used to rinse the mouth thoroughly, after which it may be swallowed, as ingestion poses no risk. 

The daily dose is determined according to the purpose of use and the specialist’s recommendation, but in practice 1–2 capsules per day are often used.

Adequate hydration is recommended during administration to aid the elimination of the absorbed compounds.

Micronised and activated Zeolite Detox is contraindicated for people with known hypersensitivity to the product’s components. 

Use in young children is not recommended without medical advice. In the absence of sufficient clinical data, use during pregnancy and breastfeeding should only take place on the advice of a doctor.

A distinctive feature of this product is its classification as a tooth-cleaning powder, which implies initial oral use. 

Zeolite may contribute to the adsorption of local toxins and the maintenance of a balanced oral environment. Due to its adsorbent properties, it is recommended to take it separately from other supplements or medications to prevent binding and a reduction in their bioavailability.

Zeolit Detox is generally well tolerated. Transient sensations of dry mouth or mild gastrointestinal discomfort may occasionally occur, particularly if fluid intake is insufficient. These symptoms are generally reversible and dose-dependent.

Due to its adsorbent capacity, zeolite may reduce the absorption of certain medicines taken at the same time. A minimum interval of 2 hours is recommended between taking Zeolit Detox and other medicines or food supplements. 

No significant food interactions are known, but taking the product on an empty stomach may enhance its adsorbent efficacy.

No cases of toxic overdose with clinoptilolite have been reported. However, excessive use may cause constipation or abdominal discomfort. In such situations, it is recommended to reduce the dose and increase water intake.

The product should be stored at room temperature, protected from moisture and direct sunlight, in the original, tightly closed packaging. Keep out of reach of children.
