In the case of systemic administration, diclofenac has an analgesic (pain-relieving), anti-inflammatory and antipyretic (fever-reducing) effect. When applied locally, as in the case of oral aerosol, Glimbax has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Glimbax is used for the symptomatic treatment of inflammations, even painful, in the oropharyngeal cavity (gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), and as a result of dental therapy (tooth extraction or conservative treatment).

Dosage

The drug should be applied in a dose of two injections 2-3 times a day. The medicine is applied directly to the place affected by the inflammation.

Warning

Do not give Glimbax to children and adolescents under 18 years of age. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, diclofenac can be administered locally in small doses. Possible ingestion of the drug is not harmful. One dose applies 0.2 ml of solution, which corresponds to 0.3 mg of the drug.

Adverse effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Side effects that can occur with Glimbax are:

• Common (may affect more than 1 in 100 people): throat irritation
• Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): cough, nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, constipation, sore tongue
• Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data): headache, tremors, changes in vision, drop in blood pressure, burning sensation in the mouth, indigestion

Contraindications

Do not use Glimbax:

• If you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6)
• If you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid and similar substances or any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start using Glimbax.

In the case of local use, especially long-term, hypersensitivity may develop. If you develop hypersensitivity, stop using Glimbax and contact your doctor or pharmacist.
