Properties:
Treatment of vitamin E deficiency.
Vitamin E has a strong antioxidant effect.
As a prophylactic treatment in conditions that require an additional intake of vitamin E:
- digestive disorders (celiac disease, tropical sprue, regional enteritis);
- diseases of the hepato-biliary tract (chronic cholestasis, liver cirrhosis, biliary atresia, obstructive jaundice); gastrectomy;
- malabsorption syndrome associated with pancreatic insufficiency, cystic fibrosis or other conditions;
- acanthosis.

Ingredients:
α-Tocopheryl acetate 100 mg

Administration method:

• Adults: the usual recommended dose is 100-300 mg of α-tocopheryl acetate per day, administered orally. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 400-500 mg per day. The dose must be individualized, depending on the particularities of each case.
• In the case of vitamin E deficiency associated with abetalipoproteinemia, the recommended daily dose is 50-100 mg α-tocopheryl acetate/kg.
• In the case of vitamin E deficiency associated with cystic fibrosis, the recommended daily dose is 100-200 mg α-tocopheryl acetate.
• Vitamin E needs increase with the increase in the amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet.
