Florentero

Florentero is available in several pharmaceutical forms tailored to the different needs of pets and the preferences of owners. The product comes in the form of tablets, oral suspension or paste, facilitating administration in both dogs and cats.

Florentero tablets are available in bottles containing 10, 30 or 120 tablets, formulated to be easy to administer and accepted by animals. 

Florentero tablets for dogs and cats are recommended for dogs and cats of all ages, including puppies and adult animals, in situations where there is a risk of digestive disorders or where these are already present.

The main indications include:

• acute or recurrent digestive disorders, manifested by diarrhoea or gastrointestinal discomfort;
• changes in the intestinal flora associated with a change in diet;
• recovery periods following digestive episodes;
• concomitant administration with medicinal treatments that may affect the gut microbiota;
• periods of stress or adaptation, which may influence digestive function;
• prevention of digestive disorders in animals with gastrointestinal sensitivity.

Candioli Florentero is administered orally. The usual dose for the tablet form is 1/2 tablet per 5 kg of body weight per day.

For Florentero paste, the usual dose is 1 ml per 3.5 kg of body weight per day.

Ideally, the daily dose should be divided into two administrations, one in the morning and one in the evening.

Florentero probiotic has no major contraindications when used as recommended. However, administration should be avoided in animals with known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s ingredients.

Furthermore, use should be exercised with caution in animals with severe digestive disorders or those undergoing complex treatments, and it is recommended to consult a vet before starting administration.

Before using the product or extending the treatment period, it is recommended to seek advice from a veterinarian. This recommendation is particularly important for animals exhibiting persistent or recurrent digestive symptoms.

The product is intended exclusively for veterinary use and must not be used for human consumption. Furthermore, it is designed for feeding pets and must not be administered to other species without veterinary advice.

Florentero paste or tablets is generally well tolerated by dogs and cats. Due to its composition based on nutritional ingredients and beneficial microorganisms, adverse reactions are rare.

In isolated cases, mild digestive symptoms may occur, such as flatulence or temporary changes in stool consistency, particularly at the start of treatment, until the gut microbiota has adapted.

Florentero Act and Florentero Complex can be administered concurrently with most medicinal treatments used in veterinary medicine, including antibiotics or anti-inflammatory therapies.

However, to maximise the effectiveness of the probiotics, it is recommended that the product be administered several hours apart from antibiotics, as these can reduce the viability of the beneficial microorganisms.

There is no data to suggest the occurrence of toxic effects when doses higher than those recommended are administered. However, overdose may cause mild or transient gastrointestinal discomfort.

In the event of accidental ingestion of large quantities of the product, it is recommended to monitor the animal and consult a veterinarian.

Florentero must be stored in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. These conditions are important for maintaining the stability of the active ingredients and the viability of the probiotic microorganisms.

The product should be stored at room temperature and kept in its original packaging, both before and after opening.

It should also be kept out of the reach of children and pets.
