Fortiflora

Purina FortiFlora is available as a powder packed in individual sachets, each containing 1 gram of product. This formulation allows for easy administration, as the powder is simply sprinkled directly onto the pet’s regular food.

The product is usually sold in boxes containing 30 sachets, representing a full course of treatment for approximately one month. 

The formula contains ingredients such as meat and animal derivatives, minerals and nutritional additives, including the gut flora stabiliser Enterococcus faecium SF68.

Purina FortiFlora for cats and Purina FortiFlora for dogs are recommended for supporting digestive health and maintaining the balance of the intestinal microflora in dogs and cats.

Administering Purina FortiFlora is simple and straightforward. The recommended dose is one sachet per day, sprinkled over the pet’s regular food.

In most cases, the product is administered for approximately 30 days to achieve maximum benefit for digestive health. 

FortiFlora probiotic is generally well tolerated by dogs and cats and has a favourable safety profile. However, Pro Plan FortiFlora should not be administered to animals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of its components.

In the case of animals with severe digestive disorders, chronic diseases or immunosuppression, the product should only be used on the advice of a vet.

A key advantage of FortiFlora for cats and FortiFlora for dogs is the microencapsulation process of the probiotic bacteria, which protects the microorganisms from external factors and allows them to reach the gastrointestinal tract in a viable form.

If persistent symptoms or unusual reactions occur after administration of the product, use should be discontinued and consultation with a vet is recommended.

FortiFlora can be administered alongside most foods and veterinary treatments. In fact, the product is often used as a supportive measure during antibiotic therapy, as it helps restore the intestinal microbiological balance.

However, to achieve the best results, probiotics should be administered at appropriate intervals from antibiotics, as recommended by your vet.

No significant cases of overdose associated with the administration of FortiFlora have been reported. As the product contains probiotic bacteria and nutrients, occasionally exceeding the recommended dose does not usually cause serious reactions.

However, excessive administration may cause digestive discomfort or temporary changes in bowel movements.

FortiFlora should be stored in its original packaging, in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight. The sachets should be kept tightly sealed until use.

The product must also be kept out of the reach of children and pets.
