Helmiflores

Helmiflores by Farmacia Verde is available as an oral solution (drops) in a 25 ml bottle. The preparation is a food supplement, intended for oral administration, easy to dose according to age and suitable for both children and adults. 

The liquid form allows for rapid absorption of the bioactive compounds and easy administration, even in young children.

Helmiflores is indicated for the prevention and treatment of intestinal parasites, particularly in cases of Giardia, roundworm and pinworm infestations. The product may also be used as an adjunct in conditions associated with parasitic infections, such as anorexia, biliary dyskinesia, recurrent migraines or persistent digestive disorders.

The product is recommended for children and people with liver disorders or suspected giardiasis, thanks to its gentle effect on the liver and the choleretic action of certain plant components.

The use of Helmiflores falls within the scope of complementary phytotherapeutic treatments and is recommended on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist.

Helmiflores should be taken before meals, diluted in water or tea, according to the following schedule:

• Children aged 1–4 years: 10 drops 3 times a day;
• Children aged 5–10 years: ½ teaspoon 3 times a day;
• Children aged 11–14 years: 1 teaspoon 3 times a day;
• Adults: 2 teaspoons 3 times a day.

The standard course of treatment consists of 10 days of administration, followed by a 10-day break, then another 10 days of treatment. 

Helmiflores is contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s components. 

Due to its ethyl alcohol content, caution is advised in very young children and in people with severe liver disease. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding should only take place on the advice of a doctor.

The product may be taken without a doctor’s prescription, but in the event of persistent or severe symptoms, a medical assessment is recommended. 

Adherence to the duration of treatment and the intervals between doses is essential to avoid liver overload and to maintain therapeutic efficacy.

In general, Helmiflores is well tolerated. Mild digestive reactions, such as nausea, abdominal discomfort or a temporary bitter taste, may rarely occur, particularly at the start of treatment. 

Allergic reactions are rare, but possible in people sensitive to the plants present in the formulation.

No significant drug interactions are known. However, concomitant use with pharmacological antiparasitic treatments should be discussed with your doctor. 

It is recommended to avoid excessive alcohol consumption during treatment and to follow a light diet, low in refined sugars, to limit the development of intestinal parasites.

No cases of overdose have been reported. Exceeding the recommended doses may increase the risk of gastrointestinal irritation or liver overload. In the event of accidental ingestion of a large quantity, it is recommended to discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Helmiflores must be stored in its original packaging, at room temperature, away from direct light and moisture. The bottle must be kept tightly closed and stored out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
