Sildenafil Aristo 50 mg, 4 film-coated tablets, Aristo

The medicine Sildenafil Aristo 50 mg, tablets is used to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men, also known as impotence.

It is the inability to achieve or maintain an erection of the penis sufficient for sexual intercourse.

Indications:

• Sildenafil Aristo is used in men with erectile dysfunction
• The medicine works by helping to relax the blood vessels in the penis, increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal
• Sildenafil Aristo helps you achieve an erection only if you are sexually stimulated.

Composition:

• It contains the active substance sildenafil, which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors
• Each film-coated tablet contains 50 mg of sildenafil (as citrate).

How to use:

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist
• The recommended starting dose is 50 mg
• Sildenafil Aristo should not be used more than once a day
• Sildenafil Aristo should be taken approximately one hour before planned sexual activity
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water
• If you feel that the effect of Sildenafil Aristo is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist
• Sildenafil Actavis allows you to achieve an erection only when you are sexually stimulated
• The time it takes for Sildenafil Aristo to work varies from patient to patient, but is usually between half an hour and an hour
• The effect may be delayed if the medicine is taken after a large meal
• You should contact your doctor if taking Sildenafil Aristo does not help you to get an erection or if the erection does not last long enough for you to complete sexual intercourse.

Contraindications:

Do not take Sildenafil Aristo:

• If you are allergic to sildenafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
• If you are taking medicines containing nitrates, as taking them at the same time can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines from this group; these are often given to relieve the symptoms of angina (or "chest pain"). If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist
• If you are taking medicines that release nitric oxide, such as amyl nitrite (so-called poppers), as taking them at the same time can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure
• If you are taking riociguat. This is a medicine used to treat pulmonary hypertension (i.e. high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e. high blood pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots). PDE5 inhibitors such as Sildenafil Actavis have been shown to enhance the blood pressure lowering effects of this medicine
• If you are taking riociguat or have any concerns, tell your doctor
• If you have serious heart or liver disease
• If you have recently had a stroke or heart attack or if you have low blood pressure
• If you have inherited degenerative changes in the retina, such as retinitis pigmentosa
• If you have ever had vision loss due to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION).
