Food supplement with omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA and EPA), Ginkgo biloba, phosphatidylserine, vitamin E, vitamin B12 and folic acid.

AUTHORIZED HEALTHY PROPERTIES DECLARATION

Commission decision of 5 June 2003:

Authorizes the marketing of DHA-rich oil from the microalga Schizochytrium sp as a novel food ingredient in accordance with EC Regulation 258/97 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

Docosahexaenoic acid is the most abundant omega-3 fatty acid in the brain and retina of mammals.

Nutrient: docosahexaenoic acid

Statement: Docosahexaenoic acid contributes to maintaining normal brain function.

Statement: contributes to the maintenance of normal vision.

Terms of use of the declaration:

Either of these two statements can only be used with respect to foods that contain a minimum of 40 mg of docosahexaenoic acid per 100 g per 100 kcal.

In order for a product to carry this claim, the consumer will be informed that the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of docosahexaenoic acid.

Nutrient: The association of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)/docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Statement: Eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acids contribute to the normal functioning of the heart.

Terms of use of the declaration:

This claim may only be used in respect of foods that are, at a minimum, a source of EPA and DHA in accordance with the SOURCE OF OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS claim set out in the Annex to Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Take 1 or 2 capsules daily with food or drink. If you are taking this product for the first time, you can double the dose for the first 12 weeks.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS

Keep out of reach of children. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

USE IN PATIENTS WITH FOOD INTOLERANCE

This product can be taken by a person with celiac disease, egg allergy/intolerance, or milk intolerance.

Not recommended for a person with fructose intolerance.

Contains a source of soy, fish, and phenylalanine.
