Description
BIO Darjeeling black tea, 18 bags, Sonnentor
Like green tea, black tea is obtained from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant, the difference between the two types being the processing of the raw material. Black tea is a fermented (fully oxidized) tea.
Darjeeling black tea is one of the most famous, expensive and refined varieties of tea in the world. It is also called the champagne of tea.
The original region is homonymous, being located in West Bengal, India, on the slopes of the Himalayas. The qualities of this type of tea are given by the cold and humid climate and the relief in which these plantations are located, considering that the altitudes of the tea gardens are between 600 - 2000 m. The methods of processing the raw material are quite rudimentary including withering, fermentation and drying of tea leaves. The quality of Darjeeling black tea is determined by the time of harvesting. Tea plantations have 4 harvesting seasons annually.
The aroma of the obtained infusion has a slight floral and musk tinge, and the color has different shades of orange. This variety of tea is very rich in amino acids, volatile oils, iodine, phosphorus, fluorine, potassium and vitamins.
