Indications:

• Cal-D-Vita is a medicine that contains a combination of calcium and vitamin D3. Calcium and vitamin D3 are important components in the bone mass formation process. Vitamin D3 regulates the absorption and conversion of calcium and acts on the fixation of calcium in the skeleton. Cal-D-Vita is used in the deficiency of vitamin D and calcium, in the elderly and as adjunctive therapy to the specific treatment for osteoporosis, if a deficiency of calcium and vitamin D is present or suspected.

Composition:

• The active substances are calcium and cholecalciferol. One chewable tablet contains calcium 600 mg in the form of calcium carbonate 1500 mg and cholecalciferol 400 IU (Vitamin D3) (equivalent to 10 micrograms).
• The other components are: mannitol, povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, aspartame (E 951), anhydrous citric acid, orange flavor, DL α-tocopherol, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, sucrose (sugar), gelatin and corn starch.

Administration method:

• The recommended dose is 1-2 chewable tablets daily.
• The tablet should be chewed or sucked and should not be swallowed whole.
• The medicine is indicated only for adults and children over 12 years old.

Contraindications:
Do not use Cal-D-Vita:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or to any of the other components of Cal-D-Vita;

Precautions:
Before using Cal-D-Vita, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• This product combined with calcium and vitamin D can be administered during pregnancy and breastfeeding only on the recommendation of the doctor and in the doses recommended by him.
• If you are breastfeeding you can use Cal-D-Vita. Calcium and vitamin D3 pass into breast milk. This should be taken into account if your child is given an additional dose of vitamin D.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Cal-D-Vita does not influence the ability to drive vehicles and use machines.
