Contracubex gel, 20 g, Merz

Contractubex gel has a beneficial effect on scar healing.

• Onion extract has an anti-inflammatory effect and inhibits the growth of cells that promote the formation of unsightly scars
• Heparin has anti-inflammatory effects and relaxes the tissues
• Allantoin increases the ability of tissues to bind water and thus promotes the formation of new tissue at the damaged site (epithelialization).

Indications:

• Enlarged scars (hypertrophic or keloid), which limit mobility and are aesthetically disfiguring after operations, amputations, burns and injuries
• Permanent retraction of tendon tissue, such as Dupuytren's contracture and traumatic tendon contractures, cicatricial contractures.

Composition:

Cepae extractum fluidum (liquid onion extract) 10 g, Heparinum natricum (sodium salt of heparin) 0.04 g, Allantoinum (allantoin) 1 g
Excipients: Acidum sorbicum (sorbic acid), methylparabenum (methylparaben), xanthan gummi (xanthan gum), macrogolum (macrogol), parfum (perfume), aqua depurata (purified water).

How to use:

• Unless your doctor prescribes otherwise, rub Contractubex thoroughly into the scar tissue several times a day and massage gently until the preparation is completely absorbed
• For thickened and old scars, leave the gel to act overnight under a bandage
• Depending on the nature, size and strength of the scar, treatment takes several weeks or months
• When treating new (fresh) scars, avoid physical irritation such as extreme cold, ultraviolet radiation (tanning) or vigorous massage.

Warnings:

• Consult your doctor about the possibility of using Contractubex with other local medications at the same time
• If symptoms do not improve or even worsen within 3 months, side effects or other unusual reactions occur, consult a doctor for further use of Contractubex
• If the product is accidentally swallowed by a child, consult a doctor for the next procedure.
