The drug is a vasoprotector. It increases the tension of the vein wall and the resistance of the blood capillaries.

It is used in adults:

• for the treatment of symptoms related to chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs: feeling of heavy legs, swelling of the legs, pain, night cramps in the legs
• to treat the functional symptoms associated with an acute hemorrhoidal episode, such as pain, bleeding, and swelling in the rectal area

Dosage and dosage regimens

Chronic venous insufficiency: 2 tablets per day, optimally one tablet at lunch and one tablet in the evening.

Acute hemorrhoidal disease: Treatment of an acute hemorrhoidal attack: 6 tablets a day (3 tablets 2x a day) for 4 days, then 4 tablets a day (2 tablets 2x a day) for 3 days. The treatment for this indication is of short duration, i.e. 15 days

Mode of use

Tablets are taken whole, with food and liquid.

Warning

It is better to avoid using the drug during pregnancy. The medicine should not be used during breastfeeding. Safety and efficacy of the drug in children and adolescents under 18 years of age have not been established. Use in children and adolescents is not recommended.
