Description
Hair is composed of 95% keratin, synthesized by the human body. Keratin is a protein made up of amino acids that forms the hair fiber. Once hair is formed, keratin is not renewed and degrades over time.
Keratin weakens more rapidly as a result of external aggressions (heat styling tools, chemical treatments, pollution, seawater, UV rays, brushing, etc.): small holes can appear in the cuticle, gradually weakening the hair and reducing its strength and elasticity.
But internal aggressions such as chronic stress, poor diet or hormonal imbalances can affect the body's synthesis of keratin.
