- nebulization in the bronchial tree using an inhaler,

How does Mufluil Hypertonic work?
- A sterile, buffered, hypertonic sodium chloride solution administered directly to the mucous membrane by osmosis transfers water from within the cells to the extracellular space, increasing the water content of the mucus lining the epithelium, diluting it and facilitating its removal.
- N-acetylcysteine, an acetylated derivative of the amino acid cysteine, exerts a mucolytic effect through direct contact with mucus. This activity occurs due to the presence of free sulfhydryl groups in the molecule, which are able to break the disulfide bonds of mucoproteins that give mucus viscosity, causing its depolymerization. N-acetylcysteine also has an antioxidant effect, which helps to maintain the proper functioning of the respiratory epithelium.
Hypertonic solution of NaCl with N-acetylcysteine Mufluil Hypertonic brings good results in the treatment of acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and its complications, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, sinusitis and otitis exudation.
