Tantum Rosa, 500 mg granules for vaginal solution, 10 sachets, Angelini 

Tantum Rosa is used to treat vulvovaginitis and cervicovaginitis (inflammation of the female genital organs) of various causes, including those due to chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Pre- and postoperative preventive treatment in gynecological surgery and during the puerperal period (after childbirth).

Composition:

• The active substance is benzydamine hydrochloride 500 mg per sachet
• The other ingredients are: sodium chloride, trimethylcetyl ammonium-p-toluenesulfonate, povidone.

How to use:

• Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
• Dissolve the contents of 1-2 Tantum Rosa sachets in one liter of boiled and cooled water
• Unless otherwise recommended, Tantum Rosa is used for vaginal irrigation 1-2 times a day
• After dissolution, the resulting solution is used immediately
• If you have any further questions on this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications:

Do not use Tantum Rosa if you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
• The product can be used during pregnancy and lactation only after careful evaluation of the therapeutic benefit to the mother/potential risk to the fetus.

Driving and using machines

• The topical use of benzydamine at recommended doses does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
