Bio gluten-free amaranth, 400 gr, Fior Di Loto
Amaranth (Amaranthus) is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Amaranthaceae family and native to Central and South America, where it was already cultivated by pre-Columbian civilizations. It was defined by the Aztecs as the "mysterious grain" or the "grain of the gods".
Amaranth provides important amounts of magnesium, calcium and iron. Contains magnesium 330 mg and calcium 215 mg. Small amaranth seeds contain easily digestible nutrients and vital substances. The seeds are round and less than 1 mm in size.
Amaranth contains fewer carbohydrates than cereals, which is approximately 56 grams, significantly less than that of cereals. The carbohydrates contained in amaranth give the body long-term energy, in addition, the amount of fiber in amaranth is important, which gives the feeling of satiety.
