Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg, 10 film-coated tablets, Sandoz
Read the leaflet carefully and completely before you start using this medicine, because it contains important information for you. Always use this medicine as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Indications:
Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets are used for the temporary relief of mild to moderate pain associated with:
- migraine,
- headaches,
- back pain,
- pain during the menstrual cycle,
- toothache,
- muscular and rheumatic pains,
- mild joint pain,
- cold and flu symptoms,
- sore throat and fever.
It acts within 15 minutes of administration
Up to 9 hours analgesic effect.
Composition:
The active substances are ibuprofen and paracetamol. Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen and 500 mg paracetamol.
Administration method:
- Adults: The recommended dose is 1 tablet maximum 3 times a day, administered with water and food. Leave at least 6 hours between doses. If one tablet does not relieve the symptoms, then a maximum of 2 tablets can be taken 3 times a day.
- Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours (equivalent to 1200 mg of ibuprofen and 3000 mg of paracetamol per day).
- This medicine is not indicated for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
- Duration of treatment
- You should not take Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets for more than 3 days. If symptoms worsen or persist, contact your doctor.
Contraindications:
Do not use Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets if:
- take another medicine containing paracetamol
- take another pain medicine that contains ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid
- high doses (over 75 mg per day), or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) including selective cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) inhibitors
- you are allergic to ibuprofen, paracetamol or other components of this medicine.
Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets.
Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby. Do not take Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets if you are pregnant in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Special care should be taken if you are pregnant in the first 6 months of
- task.
- Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets can make it difficult to get pregnant.
- Ibuprofen: Ibuprofen belongs to a group of drugs that reduce fertility in women.
- This is reversible when treatment is stopped. You must tell your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant or if you are experiencing difficulties in becoming pregnant.
- Paracetamol: If necessary, Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets can be used during pregnancy. You should take the lowest dose that reduces your pain and/or fever for the shortest possible time. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if the pain/fever does not go down or if you need to take the medicine more often.
Driving and using machines:
- Combifexin 200 mg/ 500 mg film-coated tablets can cause dizziness, impaired concentration and drowsiness.
- If you are affected, do not drive or use tools or machinery.
