Excellent circulatory system tonic, draining, venous and lymphatic decongestant, it is used in case of varicose veins, venous congestion, heavy legs, water retention. It also has an antiperspirant action, thus being useful in deodorants to reduce excessive sweating.
The cypress is an evergreen tree with hard wood that is said to never rot. The Greek word "sempervirens", from which the botanical name of the tree derives, means "eternal life". From the leafy branches of this majestic tree, cypress essential oil is extracted, recognized as an excellent circulatory system tonic, draining, venous and lymphatic decongestant, also appreciated for its balancing effect on the sweat glands.

Method of obtaining:
By steam distillation of the branches.

Characteristics:
Yellow liquid, low viscosity.

Olfactory description:
Smell of resinous, amber-woody, spicy, masculine.

Way of ussage:
- it is a product that is not used as such on the skin, only as an ingredient in cosmetic preparations and compositions for aromatherapy;
- the usual dosage in cosmetic preparations is 0.5-2%; in local applications the dosage can be higher, follow the indications of the aromatherapist;
- diluted with vegetable oil for massage applications for the circulatory effect;
- included as an ingredient in creams, balms, ointments and gels;
- as an ingredient in the preparation of liquid or solid deodorants;
- included as an ingredient in foot cream in case of excessive sweating;
- added to bath water (solubilized in advance or mixed with milk) for nervous relaxation.
