Eucarbon, 30 tablets, Trenka Chemisch

Indications:
This medicine is used in the treatment of constipation.
The active substances contained in Eucarbon are exclusively of vegetable and mineral origin and have a role in regulating digestion, with a slight laxative effect. Vegetable charcoal (non-activated) has the ability to adsorb various toxic metabolic substances which are subsequently excreted due to the laxative effect of the leaf powder.
Senna and dried rhubarb extract. Purified sulfur also has a mild disinfectant effect in the intestinal tract.
The mild laxative effect of this medicine sets in approximately 8-10 hours after administration.

Composition:
- The active substances are: Senna leaf powder 105 mg, dry rhubarb extract 25 mg, vegetable charcoal (non-activated) 180 mg, purified sulfur 50 mg.
- The other ingredients are: peppermint oil, fennel oil, sucrose, corn starch, talc, heavy kaolin, acacia gum.

Method of administration:
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age
Unless your doctor has prescribed otherwise, the usual dose to obtain a mild laxative effect and reduce flatulence is 1-2 tablets taken 1-3 times a day during or after meals.
The dosage required to achieve the desired effect may vary from person to person. If a stronger laxative effect is desired, the evening dose can be increased to 3-4 Eucarbon tablets.

Contraindications:
Do not use Eucarbon:
-if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
-if you have intestinal occlusion/subocclusion – total/partial blockage of intestinal transit;
-if you have colon or rectal cancer;
-if you have bleeding in the large intestine of unknown cause;
-if you have intestinal inflammation;
-if you have abdominal pain of unknown cause;
-if you have severe disorders of hydrolytic and mineral balance;
-if you are suspected of having a gastric or duodenal ulcer;
-in children under 10 years of age;
-during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Eucarbon.
Be careful:
-if symptoms do not improve or if treatment is ineffective. Depending on the situation, you should consult your doctor immediately.
-if you could be pregnant. Tell your doctor immediately if you are pregnant.
-the dose required to achieve a safe effect may vary individually. Do not use Eucarbon for a longer period of time (more than 1-2 weeks) without the recommendation of your doctor.
-Eucarbon is not recommended as a treatment in weight loss diets.
-when using this product for a long period of time, more than 14 days, its effectiveness may decrease.
Patients who are bedridden for extended periods will undergo a check-up before initiating treatment with Eucarbon.
Children:
Children will receive treatment with laxatives only in exceptional situations and only upon the express recommendation of a doctor.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Eucarbon should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines:
Eucarbon has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.
