In cases of nutritional deficiency and low intake of vitamin D in the daily diet ACTIVE INGREDIENTS VITAMIN D3: According to EU legislation, the recommended daily dose for infants is set at a daily intake of 10 μg, which corresponds to 400 IU of vitamin D. Vitamin D performs many functions in the body at any age. For children from birth, it contributes to the development of bone, muscle and dental tissue. It supports the absorption and fixation of calcium in the bones, thus facilitating the process of acquiring and strengthening bone mass, which occurs during the growth phase. In addition, vitamin D plays a role in modulating the immune system and its ability to respond to infections. Vitamin D is partly taken from the diet and partly produced by our skin when stimulated by sunlight. These sources of vitamin D are often not sufficient to cover daily needs, which is why its supplementation, especially in childhood, is important to ensure a healthy and physiological growth DHA: docosahexaenoic acid, is a semi-essential fatty acid from Omega -3 series, known for significant metabolic activities. It performs a number of functions at different levels of the body – and in babies from the gestational stage before birth, it has been shown to help support the proper development of brain tissue and cognitive abilities. In fact, DHA is the most abundant Omega-3 fat in brain tissue, and its molecular structure gives cell membranes ideal properties for the efficient transmission of nerve impulses. DHA is also associated with the maturation of cells and blood vessels in the cerebral cortex, and some studies link adequate DHA intake in the first months and years of life with improved IQ. It is also important for the development of the retina and for improving visual acuity in children. DHA can be taken in food, but with the exception of some types of fish, most foods only contain a small amount, so it needs to be taken as a dietary supplement.
