Description
Flonase nasal spray, 60 sprays, Gsk
Properties:
- Fluticasone propionate is a glucocorticosteroid with strong anti-inflammatory activity due to its action on the glucocorticoid receptor pathway.
- It works to block 6 key mediators of inflammation - not just histamine.
- The onset of the therapeutic effect occurs in 2-4 hours in some patients, the maximum benefit being obtained by continuous use for 3-4 days.
- Contains fluticasone propionate - indicated to relieve eye itching, hyperlacrimation and nasal symptoms.
Administration method:
- Adults aged 18 and over:
- The recommended dose is two sprays in each nostril once a day, preferably in the morning.
- In cases where the symptomatology is severe, two sprays in each nostril twice a day may be necessary, but the use will be made in the short term.
- After obtaining control of the symptoms, a maintenance dose can be used consisting of a spray in each nostril, once a day. If the symptoms reappear, the dose can be increased depending on their severity.
- The maximum daily dose should not exceed four sprays in each nostril.
Warnings:
The nasal spray should not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 18.
This medicine should not be used continuously for a period of more than 3 months unless recommended by a doctor.
