Mode of use
Dose: One pipette containing 1.34 ml of solution for dripping on the skin for a dog weighing between 10 and 20 kg. In this way, the minimum recommended dose of 6.7 mg/kg of fipronil is applied. Due to insufficient drug safety testing, the minimum interval between applications is 4 weeks.
Monthly application is recommended in case of high risk of repeated flea infestation, in case the dog is allergic to flea bites and in the case of necessary control of tick infestation or frequent bathing of dogs using hypoallergenic or emollient shampoo. In areas where there is not a high risk of flea and tick infestation, Fypryst skin drop solution can be used every second to third month.
Route of administration: External application on the skin.
Method of administration: Remove the pipette from the triple bag. Hold the pipette vertically and remove the cap. Turn the pipette cap over and put the opposite end back on the pipette. Push and twist the cap to break off the pipette cap. Then remove the cap from the pipette. Stretch the animal's fur between the shoulder blades so that you can see the skin. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.
The drug is effective against flea infestation for 2 months and against ticks for up to 4 weeks, depending on the presence of fleas and ticks in the environment. Fleas are killed within 24 hours of contact with the animal.
Avoid contact of the medicine with the animal's eyes. The staples attached to the animal must be removed before using the medicine to avoid the risk of communicable diseases do not lick each other immediately after application Based on the efficacy test data in dogs shampooed 2 days after the application of the medicine, bathing after 2 days is not recommended after applying the medicine, nor bathing more often than once a week is not recommended. . Emollient shampoos can be used before the application of the drug, but if used weekly after the application of the drug, they limit the duration of protection against fleas to about 5 weeks. A 6-week study showed that bathing once a week with a medicated shampoo containing 2% chlorhexidine did not affect the effectiveness of the drug against fleas Dogs should not be bathed in natural water sources for 2 days after application of the drug (see section 13). Therefore, it is impossible to completely exclude the transmission of infectious diseases. The tick is usually killed and falls off the host within 24 to 48 hours of attachment without sucking. During the effect of the drug, an attachment of rare ticks cannot be excluded. Pet fleas often infest cages, bedding and resting areas, carpets and household furniture. Therefore, these places should be regularly treated with an appropriate insecticide and vacuumed due to mass infestation and as part of protective measures.
Fypryst solution for skin drops can be applied to breeding, pregnant and lactating bitches.
In the case of licking, hypersalivation may occur due to the nature of the drug. A short-term skin reaction at the site of application (loss of skin color, local alopecia, itching, reddening of the skin) and general urticaria or hair loss have been observed very rarely after using the drug. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperesthesia, depression, nervousness), vomiting or breathing problems have occurred Avoid overdose.
If you notice any serious reactions or other side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.
CAUTION: Due to insufficient data on the use of the drug, do not administer to puppies under 8 weeks of age or dogs weighing less than 2 kg. Do not administer to sick (systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals. Do not administer to rabbits due to possible adverse effects and mortality. The medicine is intended for dogs.
