Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension, 200 ml, Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare

Indications:
- Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension belongs to a group of medicines called “reflux suppressants”, which form a protective layer over the contents of the stomach, preventing stomach acid from leaving the stomach, where it acts, and entering the esophagus, where it causes pain and discomfort. This medicine is used to treat the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (related to reflux) which occur, for example, after meals or during pregnancy or in patients with symptoms associated with reflux esophagitis.

Composition:
- This medicine contains sodium (10.6 mmol per dose of four tablets) and calcium (3.2 mmol per dose of four tablets). Active substances: each tablet contains sodium alginate 250 mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 133.5 mg and calcium carbonate 80 mg. The other ingredients are mannitol, macrogol 20000, copovidone, aspartame, mint flavour, magnesium stearate and acesulfame potassium. This medicine does not contain sugar or gluten.

Method of administration:
- Adults and children over 12 years: 5-10ml after meals and before bedtime. Children under 12 years: Only take on the advice of a doctor.

Contraindications:
Do not take Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension
- if you know that you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients of Gaviscon Menthol.

Precautions:
Take special care when using Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension
This medicine contains small amounts of sodium (6.2 mmol per 10 ml) and calcium (1.6 mmol per 10 ml).
- If you have been advised to follow a restrictive diet regarding any of these substances, please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
You can take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
