Imupret, 50 tablets, Bionorica

Properties:
Imupret lozenges are traditionally used at the first signs of a cold and during a cold (eg, stinging and sore throat, difficulty swallowing, irritating cough). It is indicated for children from the age of 6, adolescents and adults.
Imupret dragees is a medicine made from medicinal plants, with traditional use, which is administered for the specified indications, exclusively on the basis of long-term use.

Composition/1 dragee:

• Radix Althaeae (mallow root), powder 8 mg
• Cortex Quercus (oak bark), powder 4 mg
• Flores Chamomillae (chamomile flowers), powder 6 mg
• Taraxaci herb (dandelion herb), powder 4 mg
• Herba Equiseti (horsetail grass), powder 10 mg
• Millefolii herb (mousetail grass), powder 4 mg
• Folia Juglandis (walnut leaves), powder 12 mg
• Excipients with known effect: glucose monohydrate 0.9 mg, liquid glucose (dry substance) 1.4 mg, lactose monohydrate 51.5 mg, sucrose 63.1 mg.

Administration method:
Children aged between 6 and 11 years.
The recommended dose in acute symptoms is 1 tablet 5-6 times a day.
The recommended dose after relief of acute symptoms is 1 tablet 3 times a day.

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.
The recommended dose in acute symptoms is 2 dragees 5-6 times a day.
Recommended dose after relief of acute symptoms 2 dragees 3 times a day.
Dragees are administered with a quantity of liquid (for example, a glass of water), without being chewed.
Imupret dragees are not administered for more than two consecutive weeks.
Imupret dragees are not administered to children under 6 years of age.
There are insufficient data on the administration of the drug in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients listed in point 6.1.
Known allergy to plants in the Asteraceae family, e.g. wormwood, mousetail, chrysanthemums, daisies, due to cross-reactivity with chamomile flowers.

Warnings and precautions:
Imupret tablets contain glucose, lactose and sucrose. Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, fructose intolerance, total lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not use this medicine.

If symptoms persist for more than a week or if dyspnoea, fever, purulent or bloody sputum are observed, medical consultation is required.

Note for patients with diabetes:
One Imupret dragee contains approximately 0.2 g of available carbohydrates.

Children:
This medicine is not for children under 6 years of age.
