Description
It is used for acute infections of the upper respiratory tract in adults, adolescents and children from the age of 6 years.
Kaloba 20 mg contains dry liquid extract of nutmeg root, Pelargonium sidoides (EPs® 7630).
Doses and dosing schedules:
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years old take 1 tablet 3 times a day (morning, lunch, evening)
- Children aged 6 to 12 years take 1 tablet twice a day (morning, evening)
Duration of treatment: The patient should consult a doctor if his condition does not improve within 1 week. After the symptoms of the disease have subsided, it is recommended to continue the treatment for a few more days to avoid recurrence. The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks.
Mode of use
The tablet is taken unchewed with a little liquid (if possible with a glass of water). Tablets should not be taken at bedtime.
Notice:
- The drug should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there is not enough experience
- The medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age, as this dosage form is not suitable for this age group
- The drug is contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease, as there is no experience with the administration of the drug in this condition.
