Kelo-cote silicone gel for scars, 15 g, Ekopharm
Description
Kelo-cote silicone gel for scars, 15 g, Ekopharm
Kelo-cote® Silicone Scar Gel in a 15 g tube is a clinically proven medical device.
- It can be used on keloid scars (keloid scars), hypertrophic scars, and burn scars
- The gel is suitable for postoperative scars, cesarean section scars, surgical scars, burns, and trauma
- It is safe for both adults and children
- It is suitable for use on the face and body.
Kelo-cote® Gel is most effective on fresh scars up to 2 years old. There is also evidence that the product may also be effective on older scars, over 4 years old. It is best to begin using the gel immediately after the wound has closed or after suture removal, when scabs are no longer present.
Kelo-cote® Silicone Scar Gel acts as a self-adhesive, breathable occlusive dressing. Once applied to the skin, it dries quickly, creating a thin, invisible "plaster" that stays on the skin for up to 12 hours, acting as a barrier against bacteria and external factors.
At the same time, the advanced formula of Kelo-cote® gel:
- softens, smooths, and flattens the surface of the scar
- reduces scar discoloration
- relieves itching and discomfort
- normalizes collagen production
- prevents abnormal scarring.
As a result, it improves the appearance of existing scars, making them less visible.
Importantly, Kelo-cote® silicone gel is very comfortable to use – it is easily applied directly to the skin, is flexible, and does not require rinsing – it peels off with the skin after 12 hours. It can also be used on skin around joints.
Unlike traditional plasters, which often peel off and cause skin maceration at the site of application, it adheres perfectly to the scar and does not restrict movement. Moreover, because it is colorless and invisible once dry, it is less noticeable than a plaster and is ideal for use on exposed areas of the body.
Indications:
- Kelo-cote® silicone gel is suitable for use on scars of various origins to reduce their visibility and reduce the risk of keloids or hypertrophy
- Kelo-cote® gel is suitable for pregnant women, children, and people with sensitive skin.
Benefits:

Ingredients:
Polysiloxanes, silicon dioxide.
How to use:
- Apply a very thin layer of gel to a clean, dry scar twice daily (morning and evening). Avoid direct contact with eyes, mucous membranes, third-degree burns, and open wounds
- Do not rub in. The gel dries spontaneously within 5 minutes, forming a transparent, flexible, and waterproof occlusive silicone dressing over the scar. If the gel does not dry within 5 minutes, too much gel has most likely been applied. Remove any excess and allow to dry. Once dry, you can apply UVA/UVB sunscreen or makeup.
- The dressing does not require removal. It stays on the skin for 12 hours, after which it peels off with the epidermis
- Begin using Kelo-cote® scar gel as soon as possible, immediately after the wound has completely healed or after removing the stitches and there are no scabs.
- The minimum recommended duration of use is 60-90 days. If you still notice improvement in the scar after 90 days, continue use for better results. Older scars often require longer use than 90 days
- We recommend using Kelo-cote® for 3 months. Longer use may result in better treatment results Once the gel has dried, sunscreen and makeup can be applied over it; the dressing is waterproof
- Kelo-cote® can be used under compression garments; increase the number of applications to 3/4 per day
- To avoid product loss, close the tube after each use; the gel is self-drying.
Warnings:
- This is a medical device. Use it according to the instructions for use or the label
- Kelo-cote® gel should not be applied to open or fresh wounds on mucous membranes (nose, throat, mouth, nose).
