Description
Keratosept eye drops are a sterile hydrogel solution containing:
polyvinyl alcohol with coating, moisturizing, viscoelastic, mucoadhesive and protective properties;
dexpanthenol, a B vitamin, an analog of pantothenic acid, with nourishing properties for tissues and a protective effect on the epithelium;
hexamidine diisothionate, polyhexanide hydrochloride, disodium edetate (EDTA) substances with antiseptic (antimicrobial) properties;
and other excipients, for application to ocular tissues by instillation;
Due to their properties, Keratosept eye drops effectively support the reconstruction of the corneal epithelium damaged by contact lenses, air conditioning, sunlight or artificial lighting and computer monitors.
Keratosept stabilizes the ocular film and protects the surface of the eye in the event of any disturbances in its functioning, including those occurring in patients with eye infections.
Due to the content of antiseptic (antimicrobial) substances, the solution remains sterile after the first opening of the package and protects the eye tissues against irritations and infections caused by smog, smoke, dust and air pollution.
Polyvinyl alcohol at a concentration of 1.25% gives the drops rheological properties similar to saline liquid and ensures effective adhesion to the mucous membrane of the eye, due to which the drops have a covering, moisturizing and protective effect without disturbing vision.
The structure of the hydrogel also ensures the prolonged action of the preparation on the surface of the ocular mucous membranes, increasing the nutritional effect of the vitamins, which favors the reconstruction of the epithelium.
Methylsulfonylmethane, one of the ingredients of Keratosept drops, contains biologically active sulfur, which facilitates the penetration of dexpanthenol into cells.
Keratosept is a hydrogel with the following physico-chemical properties: it is completely transparent and colorless; mix with the yellow film in any proportion; Its pH, viscosity and osmolarity are perfectly compatible with ocular tissues and ocular film, making the drops well tolerated.
