Lycopene - in which products can you find it?

Lycopene occurs naturally in many fruits and vegetables, but its highest concentration is found in tomatoes. Tomatoes are a major source of lycopene, especially red- or orange-skinned varieties. Other sources of lycopene include: watermelon, pink grapefruit, papaya, guava and various varieties of pumpkin. It is important to note that lycopene is mainly present in ripe fruits and vegetables.

Interestingly, the lycopene content of animal products such as meat and dairy products is usually low. Therefore, if we want to eat a diet rich in lycopene, we should focus primarily on plant products. It is also worth noting that tomato products, such as tomato concentrate, puree, passata or tomato juice, are also a rich source of lycopene. During tomato processing, the lycopene content can increase, as the heat helps release it from the plant's cells.

Ingredients: Tomato fruit extract (Solanum lycopersicum) standardized to contain min. 5% lycopene. Capsule composition: vegetable cellulose.

Daily serving: 1 capsule once a day. Swallow the capsules and drink plenty of water after a meal.
